After a rough night that was the aftermath of The Nap Debacle, we’ve had a really nice Mother’s Day: breakfast at my in-laws’ house, swimming at the Y, and dinner at In-n-Out, where for the first time Baguette said, “Try sandwich” and proceeded to remove the cheese from our burgers until we got her a grilled cheese sandwich of her own.
I hope all of you had a lovely day, whether you are mothers, have mothers, or have had had mothers. I’m in two of those groups, so I know today can be bittersweet in the same moment that it’s wonderful. But let’s focus on the wonderful as much as we can, shall we?

As someone who lives on the East Coast, I’ve always been intrigued by In-and-Out burger. Is it really as good as some people say? I am so curious!
I certainly think so, although I’m not a fan of their fries.
What a lovely picture!!!
Thanks–it was a lovely day!
I want to try In-N-Out badly . . . was in Vegas, but didn’t get the opportunity while there.
We had a cookout at my sister’s — while wrangling everyone up & going to a restaurant was in the cards for years past, this was a MUCH more-manageable option.
You will want at least a 3×3, and possibly a 4×4.
We’re a small group, the three of us, so the restaurant was pretty easy. Really, though, it came down to the length of the drive-through line.
From the research I’ve done, I want a 4×4 animal style, I believe. Maybe 4 of them, just to make it seem that I’m cubic or something.
That will be a meal that will go down in song and legend.
