About Me

I’m a lazy triathlete living in Los Angeles. I have a husband, and we have a daughter, and I love travel, books, movies, and food. I’ve learned that the George Foreman Grill makes a great panini press–but if you leave something in there for too long, the result is a tragic sandwich.

  1. This month I’m trying to dedicate my blog, Tome of the Unknown Writer, to health care stories from America and countries with universal health care. Since we’re going to be inundated with propaganda from all sides, I thought it could be enlightening just to hear from regular people how they feel about our health care system. So, I’m looking for stories about their experiences, their views on health care, what they’d like to see happen in the future, stuff like that. Then I’ll be posting each story as I get them. I don’t care if they’re pro or con. I only care that their honest.

If you could possibly contribute and/or spread the word or know someone who would be interested and pass it along, it would be greatly appreciated.

For further instructions I put up two posts:

    Health Care Stories: International

    and

Thanks for your time and consideration. I hope to hear from you.

    1. Thanks! That is high praise, indeed. I have to confess that I’ve already done this once, as you can see at http://tragicsandwich.com/2011/09/22/its-an-honor-just-to-be-nominated/.

But then there were only seven things and now there are ten, so here are three more:

      8) I like creamy peanut butter and peanuts in the shell, but I hate crunchy peanut butter and cocktail peanuts.
      9) When I say I like peanuts in the shell, I mean I eat them without shelling them.
      10) I have recently concluded that I am an introvert who likes to show off. As I type that, I am wondering if there is any correlation between that and pseudonymous blogging.

  2. I saw a comment you made on a blog that I read and I was hooked. Tragic Sandwich? I gotta see what that’s about. So far I like what I see! 🙂 (Sorry I have no award to offer like the peeps above, just one gal who is trying to take the time to let people know when I like what I read.)
