She doesn’t necessarily say them; you just have to figure them out based on her reactions. But here are some we’ve identified recently:
- Only one pullover style top can be worn at once. This means no dresses over long-sleeved shirts, for example.
- It also means no sweaters. NO SWEATERS!
- Jackets must have hoods attached.
- Under no circumstances must tigers be mentioned at any time.
I imagine I’ll be adding to this as we go along.

Oh we have “rules” like that too. One of them recently is that there must be TWO ponytails. Never one. Never.
None allowed at all in our house! Most days, that is. I’ve managed it twice.
Oh my gosh, we have many many rules in our house, dictated by the Kidzilla. So comforting to know there are more like us! The double-shirt thing cracked me up because we JUST had this discussion the other day. 🙂
There’s a new one involving lions, but I haven’t quite figured it out. I just know I’m doing it wrong.
